简介

电影《金钱世界》改编自一起曾经震惊世界的富豪绑架事件：世界首富保罗·盖蒂（克里斯托弗·普卢默 饰）的孙子被团伙绑架，绑匪向其母亲盖尔（米歇尔·威廉姆斯 饰）索要1700万美元的赎金。已经与丈夫离婚的盖尔无力支付高额赎金，只能向盖蒂家族求助。然而，富有却吝啬的老盖蒂却拒绝为孙子支付赎金（查理·普格 饰）。盖尔虽然付了赎金，但拿不到钱的绑匪却疯狂地割掉人质的耳朵，邮寄给盖蒂家族。伤心欲绝的盖尔在前中情局特工弗莱彻·蔡斯（马克·沃尔伯格 饰）的指引下找到了人质，试图撼动这一僵局，救出儿子……
