简介

道森（詹姆斯·麦斯登 饰）和阿曼达（米歇尔·莫娜汉 饰）曾经是一对情侣，他们交往多年，感情十分要好。然而家人的反对和生活的变故，让阿曼达渐渐远离了道森，道森在一场突如其来的事故中意外撞死人后锒铛入狱。善良的阿曼达得知道森入狱后，便前去探望他。然而，认为自己配不上阿曼达的道森，便避而不见。时间一天天过去，阿曼达只能放弃。

转眼二十一年过去，道森出狱后成为了一名钻井工，阿曼达也找到了梦中情人并结婚了。然而，阿曼达心里还是惦记着道森。老友的去世让道森和阿曼达重归于好，两人共同处理死者的后事。
