简介

故事发生在二战期间，霍伯（肖恩·潘 饰）和尼基（尼古拉斯·凯奇 饰）学生时代是好朋友，两人的友谊十分牢固。一次偶然的机会，霍伯结识了在电影院工作的凯蒂（伊丽莎白·麦戈文 饰），霍伯对她深深的爱上了她。其实凯蒂的妈妈在当地一户富人家里工作，凯蒂和妈妈住在那里。霍伯和尼基都误以为凯蒂一家就是那栋别墅的主人。

尼基的女友怀孕了，尼基急需150美元帮女友堕胎，霍伯也需要一笔钱给凯蒂买一双鞋。两人本想策划一场骗局，但最终失败了。无奈之下，还是凯蒂向雇主借钱，解决了尼基的燃眉之急。
