简介

1964年，在密西西比州的尼奥巴（密西西比，我一直印象不好，名字都那么奇怪），一个漆黑的夜晚，Eli MacCleary和Caroline的车在路上抛锚了。Eli独自出去寻求救援，留下Caroline。在车上，他返回发现妻子躺在路边的树林里，她已经被强奸了。不久，Caroline怀孕生下了儿子Michael。
